The short version

1. Who we are

Festora is festival management software for madrasas, schools and colleges, operated by Noorul Huda Centre for Excellence, Madannoor Kavu, Puttur, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka, India.

2. What we collect

From you, the account holder: your name, email address and phone number, and a login. Passwords are stored in hashed form and are never visible to us.

From the institution, about its students: name, chest number, class, category, team, an optional photograph, and their programme registrations and results. This is entered by the institution for the purpose of running its festival.

We do not collect dates of birth, addresses, ID numbers, exam marks, fee records or any financial details. Festora is not connected to any payment gateway, so no card or bank information ever passes through it.

3. Student data belongs to the institution

The madrasa, school or college decides what is entered, what is published and when it is removed. We hold that information on its instructions and use it only to provide Festora. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to train anything.

If you are a student, or a parent asking about a child: please contact the institution directly. They hold the record and they are the only ones who can change or remove it. If you cannot get an answer, write to support@festora.pro and we will help you reach the right person.

4. Photographs

Most people in Festora are children, and a student photograph is optional — chest cards, certificates and result posters all work without one.

By entering a student's details, the institution confirms it is entitled to do so and has whatever permission it needs from parents or guardians. We cannot verify that for thousands of students and we do not try to. If you are unsure, get permission in writing before uploading photographs.

5. What becomes public

A paid institution can switch on a public results page. While it is on, anyone with the link — and any search engine — can see the name, chest number, category, team, placement and photograph of students with a published result.

That page is off unless the institution turns it on, and it can be switched off at any time from Settings. Nothing is ever published by Festora on its own initiative. Please treat enabling it as a real decision: it puts a child's name and photograph on the open internet.

6. Cookies, tracking and storage

Festora sets no cookies and carries no analytics, advertising pixels or third-party trackers. Your browser stores a few practical things locally — keeping you signed in, your language, a display preference or two — and that stays on your own device.

Your data is stored in India. Festora runs on third-party infrastructure for hosting, database and fonts; those providers process data only to keep the service running, never for their own purposes.

7. How long we keep it

While a subscription is active, we keep the institution's data so it is there for next year's fest. After an account ends we keep it for 90 days, then delete it permanently — student records and photographs included. Ask us to delete sooner and we will, within 30 days.

Export before you go. Everything downloads as PDF, CSV or ZIP from the Downloads page. Once data is deleted we cannot recover it.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Write to support@festora.pro and we will reply within 30 days. For student records, please ask the institution first — they can usually act immediately.

If we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell the affected institutions promptly and plainly.

9. Changes

If we change anything that materially affects you, we will update the date at the top and tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
